1. Inasa is 190cm tall, his blood type is B, and he was born in Yamanashi Prefecture. His character profile from volume 12 reveals he likes “hot blood,” and that Horikoshi says his hero costume is very hard to draw.

2. Inasa’s surname Yoarashi contains the kanji for “night” (夜 yo) and “storm” (嵐 arashi). His first name Inasa (イナサ) is written in katakana and therefore doesn’t have an accurate kanji reading, but his name may refer to the strong winds that Japan experiences during typhoon season.

Inasa’s first name could also be a reference to going from east to west in direction, which could be referencing that Inasa initially was planning on going to UA before going to Shiketsu. His name could also reference something called the Coriolis effect, which causes prevailing winds (winds that blow from a single direction over a specific area of the Earth) in the Northern Hemisphere which flows east to west.

3. Inasa’s Japanese voice actor is Ryota Iwasaki, who is also known for his roles as Suruga Hamamatsu in Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion the Animation and Heishi and Chosa-hei in Attack on Titan.

Inasa’s English voice actor is Matt Shipman, and Matt also voices Mr Brave (the Pro Hero with the Quirk Hair-Raiser with the blue, yellow and red costume), Sen Kaibara (the UA Class 1-B student with the Quirk Gyrate with the white hero costume with the funky grey and blue diagonally striped pants) and Takeshita (the Pro Hero with the green costume whose a former classmate of Danjuro Tobita/Gentle/Gentle Criminal) for My Hero Academia.

1. She’s about 260-300cm tall, with blonde hair and blue eyes. She also has an unnamed fox Quirk that makes her fur green with a white furry underbelly.

2. Her name is Ordinary Woman in English and Ippan Josei (meaning Ordinary Woman) in Japanese

3. Horikoshi said in her character profile that he designed her to leave a lasting impression among his audience, and he also said that she is the cutest character in the history of MHA

4. Her Japanese voice actress is Minori Suzuki (also known for her roles as Dianet in I’m Quitting Heroing, Rosina in Ascendance of a Bookworm, and provides vocals as well opening theme in I’m Quitting Heroing and the ending theme of Magical Sempai).

Her English voice actress is Brianna Robers (also known for her roles as Kayoko Huang in Fire Force, Miranjo in Ranking of Kings, Machi’s mother in Fruit’s Basket, and Charlotte Galette in One Piece). Brianna also another character in MHA – Toga’s mother.

5. She debuted in Chapter 310 of the manga and Episode 133 of the anime. She actually though so far has appeared in two arcs of MHA – the Dark Hero Arc and UA Traitor Arc.

In the Dark Hero Arc she is introduced when Deku saves her before she goes to the UA shelter. She is then seen in this arc again when Deku returns to UA, as she runs to him with Kota when Deku returns.

1. Thirteen is born on February 3, she is currently 29 years old in the series, she’s 180cm tall, and she was born in the Kagoshima Prefecture.

Although her gender identity has been debated during MHA’s run, it’s been determined that in the localisation and the first four School Briefs light novels Thirteen was initially referred to with “he/him” pronouns.

However, in the anime, this was later changed so that Thirteen would use “she/her” pronouns. In the second databook, Thirteen is again confirmed to use “she/her” pronouns and all content henceforth has remained consistent with the use of “she/her” pronouns.

2. Thirteen is said to like museums and self-learning documentaries. She’s also a very passionate person, wanting to save people and encourage students to use their Quirks for good as heroes.

Her passion has led her to develop her own training facility (the Unforeseen Simulation Joint) to train students in search and rescue. She’s also very passionate about Quirks used for creation and assistance rather than destructive and battle-focused quirks.

She’s also shown to be very polite, “wise,” and not hesitating to join in combat against villains to protect others despite not being a ‘combat pro-hero.’ This is reflected in her stats according to the Ultra Archive Analysis:

3. Thirteen’s surname “Kurose” contains the kanji for “black” (黒 kuro) and “rapids, current” (瀬 se), and her first name Anan contains a particle used to mean “sub-​” (亜 a) and “south” (南 nan).

The official MHA Twitter page also showed Thirteen’s prototype design, revealing that her prototype’s hero name was No. 6 and her real name would have been “Hirooki Anakuro” (written as 穴黒央宙 in Japanese). This means her real name would have literally meant “Middle Space.”

It’s also believed that her hero name and the astronaut-like costume are references to NASA’s Apollo 13.

4. Her sketch in Volume 33 shows that her forearms are black, likely an effect of her Quirk. This is suggested to be because when she was hit by debris during the war while helping other heroes escape, her hands became heavily injured.

5. Thirteen and a Class 1-B student called Kosei Tsuburaba (the guy from the sports festival on Mononoma’s team who can create solid air) are the only MHA characters in the main series so far that have received more than one volume character profile.

1. Recovery Girl’s real name is Shūzenji Chiyo, her height is only 115cm, her blood type is B, she was born in Tokyo, and her birthday is April 4th (which means she has the same birthday as Shigaraki, Tskuachi [the police force detective] and Kesagiriman Man [a Pro Hero who was a part of the Hassaikai raid]).

2. According to Recovery Girl’s character profile, her favourite thing is candy and she’s worked at U.A. for over 40 years. Due to how long she’s been at U.A. her opinions and words hold just as much weight as Principal Nezu’s. Horikoshi has also stated that Recovery girl is the supporting mainstay of U.A.

3. Recovery Girl’s first English voice actress Juli Erickson retired, and Recovery Girl’s voice acting role was given to Luci Christian. Luci Christian also voices Uraraka.

4. Recovery Girl’s first name “Chiyo” contains the characters for “heal” (治 chi) and “bestow” (与 yo). Her surname “Shūzenji” contains the characters for “discipline” (修 shū), “virtuous” (善 zen) and “Buddhist temple” (寺 ji). It’s believed that the first part of this surname may come from the word “repair, mend” ((しゅう)[しゅう]修(しゅう)[ぜん] shūzen) and/or may be a tribute to Shuzenji, which is a town in Shizuoka known for its hot springs, since it has the same spelling.

  2. She made her debut in the manga as a silhouette in Chapter 303, and officially debuted in Chapter 328. In the anime she appeared in a cameo as a child in Episode 58 and in the movie Two Heroes (in flashbacks).
  3. Star and Stripe’s hero name is based upon a nickname for the U.S.A. flag, which her hero costume is designed after.
  4. Star and Stripe has given special authority to allow her to call upon a series of state-of-the-art hypersonic intercontinental cruise missiles from the U.S. military called Tiamat. Tiamat is the name of the Babylonian goddess of the primordial sea and chaos.
  5. Star and Stripe is called “the strongest woman around” by All for One. All for One has said that she easily notices cheap tricks and petty tactics. Her power is also shown to compete against Shigaraki while he used at 98% full power of All For One. She is shown to have superhuman physical prowess, including speed, strength, balance, endurance, agility, reflexes and more. Although her abilities are not at All Might’s level, they are still considered to be incredibly impressive.

  1. Nejire debuted at age 17 and is currently 18. She is 164cm tall, her blood type is B, she was born in the Akita Prefecture, and her favourite things are lilies and jasmine tea.
  2. Horikoshi has said that he has trouble drawing Nejire’s long hair.
  3. Nejire’s surname contains the kanji for ‘wavelength’ (波 ha) and ‘motion, change, confusion’ (動 ). Put together, her surname spells the Japanese word for ‘wave’ in physics terminology. The hiragana contained in her given name means ‘distortion, twist, warp’ (ねじれ nejire). If you put all the characters in her name together, it means ‘wave twist.’

  1. Toga likes blood and pomegranates, she is 157cm tall, and debuted at age 16 and is now 17. She is also currently the youngest member of the League of Villains and the only female member after Magne’s death. She is also the only female lieutenant in the PLF.
  2. Toga was the first character in the series to have their name revealed in katakana instead of kanji. It’s believed this was done to avoid hinting at her Quirk. Toga’s surname contains the kanji for ‘migrate’ (渡 to) and ‘self’ (我 ga), and her first name contains ‘wear, put on,’ (被 hi) ‘somebody,’ (身 mi) and ‘child’ (子 ko, this is also a feminine name suffix).
  3. Toga’s concept art had her archetypal ‘yandere’ nature, but one of her concept designs had a different and plainer face with short pigtails and sharp teeth. According to Horikoshi, Toga is the hardest female character to illustrate with her eyes in particularly being difficult to draw.
  4. Due to television regulations in Japan, Toga couldn’t be shown naked in the original broadcast of the series when she was supposed to be. Instead, the footage had to be altered to look like she was wearing a light skin toned body suit. The footage was changed back though in the home releases.

  1. Endeavour stars off the series as 45 years old, his birthday is August 8th, he’s 195cm tall, his weight is 118kg, his blood type is AB, his favourite food is kuzumochi, and he was born near the Shizouka Prefecture.
  2. While his blood type is AB, Shoto has the blood type O. For this to be realistically possible, Endeavour would have to have a rare genetic mutation known as Cis AB. Having this mutation is the only genetically possible way for a person with an AB blood type to have a child with an O blood type.
  3. Endeavour’s surname contains the kanji for ‘roar’ (轟 todoroki) while his first name contains the kanji for (炎 en), and ‘boss’ (司 ji). Enji is a common component of male names. When written in the Latin alphabet, Endeavour’s name is also the same name as a fire god in Albanian mythology who was worshipped by the Illyrians. Endeavour’s hero name also means ‘attempting to achieve a goal,’ which is very fitting for him.
  4. In Endeavour’s original concept, he was an instruction at U.A. Alternatively, the ‘to’ is a possible reading of ‘ten’ (十) which can refer to the fact that he would have been the 10th User of All for All if All Might passed it onto him instead of Midoriya like Sir Nighteye wanted.
