My Anime Hair Style Inspirations for IRL

Okay so this is definitely not what I was thinking about writing this week, but my love for these heads of hairs cannot be contained any longer.

Easily, the anime characters that showcase the hair I wish I could pull off the most are:

Yuri Plisetsky (Yuri On Ice)

I love Yurio’s hair. It’s just perfect. His hairstyles are always great too.

Akira Mado (Tokyo Ghoul)

Although I do love Akira’s design throughout the whole series, her design before :RE had my favourite hair styles. Her half-up half-down braids were my favourite.

An Updated Pop Vinyl Collection

I have somehow managed to amass even more pop vinyls since last time. I often wonder how, but then remember that the vast majority were gifts or arcade prizes (along with some really cute plushies…) and I am grateful for all of them! Especially since I love decorating my room with things that I love, and merchandise is a big part of that for me.

It’s so hard to pick favourites, but this corner has to have some of them…

Fun fact about the Eeyore: it was a present ordered online for the diamond edition (which is usually glittery black). So when it arrived blue, the person who bought it for me was very confused and about to call the supplier to ask why it was the wrong colour. They then looked it up online, and realised that this was the ‘chase’ version and that the supplier did a thing where you could win it if you ordered online

4 TIMES VIKTOR WAS JUST TRULY, VERY, AMAZINGLY SAVAGE

ANOTHER 6 ‘YURI ON ICE’ CHARACTER FACTS

After going through screenshots of the characters, I have no clue how I had managed to forget how cute and squishy they all are! ^_^

1. Mickey

   

   I don’t know why this was deemed important information to know. But for some reason it was.

   On the YOI offical character profiles, Mickey is described as a virgin.

2. Takashi

   

   Clearly he’s just loveable without effort.

   So apparently the YOI staff did their best to portray the appeal of the skaters, but Kubo has said that they didn’t try very hard with Takeshi.

3. Minami

   

   At least this explains how Minami can afford to skate…

   Minami’s parents are both doctors! His older brother is in medical school too.

4. Isabella

   

   Can Isabella and JJ possibly get any cuter at this point?

   The necklace that Isabella is always wearing is actually JJ’s initials!

5. Mari

   

   Clearly the Katsuki parents had plans when they named their kids.

   So we already know that Katsuki means ‘born to win.’ And similarly to Yuuri’s name which means ‘courage to win,’ Mari’s name means ‘true worth’ or ‘true win.’

6. Josef

   

   Can we all just please appreciate how much Josef would have been subjected to throughout his 15+ years of coaching Chris? 

   When Josef makes his first appearance he is wearing thick, red rimmed glasses. Then later on he is wearing red glasses without rims. But back in the flashback of episode 7 (the one featuring when Chris meets Victor), Josef is wearing blue glasses.

6 ACTORS WHO’VE VOICED COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TYPES OF CHARACTERS

I think I’m just sitting here in a state of slight shock at the moment… But all these VAs are so talented! And they have so many other awesome roles that I could mention too!

1. Hiroshi Kamiya has voiced both Levi Ackerman and Mephisto Pheles!

   

   I think that I just find this kind of entertaining because Levi is obsessed with cleaning, while Mephisto loves chaos.

2. Natsuki Hanae has provided his voice for Ken Keneki and Inaho Kaizuka.

   

   An interesting character vs a cardboard personality?

3. Ono Daisuke is the voice of both Erwin Smith and Sebastian Michaelis!!!

   

   Well they’re both amazing… So I don’t really know why I’m surprised that they’re voiced by the same actor.

4. Mamoru Miyano has voiced Light Yagami and Rin Matsuoka.

   

   Wow. Just wow.

5. Megumi Ogata is the voice actress of both Yugi Muto and Sailor Uranus?!

   

   Okay, okay, I did not see that one coming at all!

6. Junichi Suwabe is the voice of both Victor Nikiforov and Juzo Sakakura.

   

   Victor can be a total airhead and is so excitable, while Juzo is… not.

8 ANIME SUPPORTING CHARACTERS WHO NEED SOME MORE LOVE

Or a spin off series. Either one works for me.

1. Moblit

   

   Essentially, this man in the epitome of a great human being.

   Moblit’s intelligent, responsible and clearly adaptable and patient enough to have become Hanje’s second-in-command (his contract probably states that the majority of his job is ensuring that Hange stays out of trouble). The guy is shown to be quite worried about Hange’s antics but handles everything very well, so he can clearly handle high amounts stress. However, he’s also shown to have a bit of a dangerous side as he’s helped Hange to torture and has even injured another person before without so much as blinking.

2. Sylvio

   

   He’s so dramatic. He could make an episode out of any little thing happens to him.

   He’s a sore loser, a crybaby and spoiled. He’s annoying as all hell, dramatic and arrogant. I love it.

3. Phichit

   

   This is the face Phichit makes as he threatens you with bodily harm… I’m sure of it.

   Give the boy his own show goddamnit! I want stalking, I want blackmail and I want a some excitement while he reaches for his staking dreams!

4. Clay

   

   The best boy.

   I love him. I just want to see more of him.

5. Matsuda

   

   He’s too pure and as you’ve all heard a million times before, I’m so proud of how far he comes throughout the series.

   Matsuda is my precious little baby. I’d definitely watch his adventures around the city and in the office and his take on helping solve the Kira case. He’d have a very different opinion on everything from the other characters in the Death Note series so I think it’d be interesting to watch.

6. Kisara

   

   She is beauty, grace and quiet confidence.

   We know so little about Kisara. What happened to her while she was a teenager? Where’s she been living? She’s probably travelled a bit and she’s definitely has been through a lot. Give me her story please!

7. Akamaru

   

   Not gonna lie… I would watch 100+ episodes of Akamaru doing literally nothing but existing.

   A day in the life of Akamaru? Yes! I’m here for it!

8. Kamaji

   

   This guy’s got dirt on every single employee at the bath house. You cannot change my mind.

   You can’t deny that Kamaji is an interesting character. He’s stuck down in the boiler room all day, but seems like the kind of guy who wouldn’t mind getting up to some mischief too… Or at least that he would get to witness a lot of drama unfold or stumble across other people’s secrets while he works!

3. Everyone’s just kind of assumed that Victor has some tragic backstory. But what if Victor turns out to be very close to his family? He called his parents after watching Yuuri’s video of him skating to Victor’s program to tell them about how ‘Banquet Boy skated to Stay Close to Me!’ Victor’s parents immediately offered to buy him a plane ticket to Japan because Victor had to get his extraness from somewhere. Victor also calls his parents all the time to give them updates and they want to know EVERYTHING about their son’s crush and this crush’s life, family and if they’re a dog person or not and if they should be sending presents over to Yuuri and his family to win them over. Because Victor comes from a family of rich, extra Nikiforov’s (ineffectualdemon)

   

4. Georgi did Yurio’s makeup for the exhibition skate (again, literally everyone. Also, cutetanuki-chan has drawn a great picture for this head canon!)

   

5. Yakov uses Yuuri as a reward system for Victor. If Yakov wants Victor to turn up to practise on time, stick with his training program instead of skipping steps or attend that press conference? Then Yakov will use Yuuri to get Victor to do it.

7. What if the reason that JJ pictured Yuuri looking like this wasn’t because of how Yuuri acted at the banquet? We know that JJ trained under Celestino in Detroit, and Yuuri trained there for 5 years. So it’s likely that they trained at the same rink together for a bit. And the reason JJ pictures Yuuri like this is actually because he’s remembering all those times when Yuuri would get drunk at parties and seduce the whole room and then rock up to practise with a bunch of random’s phone numbers sharpied across his arms, effectively causing the collective breaking of the hockey team’s hearts… (dadvans)

   

8. Victor and Yuuri try to learn each others native’s languages. But because they’re so busy with skating neither of them become fluent. This leads to their conversations consisting of a weird mix of accents and languages that only the two of them can understand. Yuzuru Hanyu did so amazing. And Nathan Chen had such an incredible long program. And Shoma, and Javier, and Adam, and everyone were incredible. And I’m just so happy for them all.

1. Yakov
   Yakov is said to be based upon Alexei Mishin. Mishin is a figure skating coach who formerly coached (the now retired) Evgeni Plushenko (who is a four-time Olympic medalist, three-time World champion, seven-time European champion, four-time GPF champion and ten-time Russian Nationals champion)
2. Guang Hong
   When Guan Hong goes to America to train during the summer, he ends up buying Western clothes in bulk
3. Sara
   Sara was actually originally designed with the same brown hair as Michele. However, her hair colour wast later changed to black during development. This is why in the end credits she’s shown with brown hair
4. Emil
   Emil likes to do extreme sports during the off season. Which ends up making his coach pretty nervous…
5. Phichit
   Phichit was scouted when he was younger at a local rink in a commercial district in Bangkok after the discovery of his talent
6. Seung-gil
   Seung-gil’s theme for the season was ‘greed.’ He also doesn’t like vegetables, but likes meat and dogs
7. Georgi
   Since the very first episode, Georgi had made an appearance in each one. It wasn’t until episode 6 though that he finally had a speaking part
