ANOTHER 6 ‘YURI ON ICE’ CHARACTER FACTS

After going through screenshots of the characters, I have no clue how I had managed to forget how cute and squishy they all are! ^_^

1. Mickey

   

   I don’t know why this was deemed important information to know. But for some reason it was.

   On the YOI offical character profiles, Mickey is described as a virgin.

2. Takashi

   

   Clearly he’s just loveable without effort.

   So apparently the YOI staff did their best to portray the appeal of the skaters, but Kubo has said that they didn’t try very hard with Takeshi.

3. Minami

   

   At least this explains how Minami can afford to skate…

   Minami’s parents are both doctors! His older brother is in medical school too.

4. Isabella

   

   Can Isabella and JJ possibly get any cuter at this point?

   The necklace that Isabella is always wearing is actually JJ’s initials!

5. Mari

   

   Clearly the Katsuki parents had plans when they named their kids.

   So we already know that Katsuki means ‘born to win.’ And similarly to Yuuri’s name which means ‘courage to win,’ Mari’s name means ‘true worth’ or ‘true win.’

6. Josef

   

   Can we all just please appreciate how much Josef would have been subjected to throughout his 15+ years of coaching Chris? 

   When Josef makes his first appearance he is wearing thick, red rimmed glasses. Then later on he is wearing red glasses without rims. But back in the flashback of episode 7 (the one featuring when Chris meets Victor), Josef is wearing blue glasses.
