Star and Stripe’s real name is Cassie. She has naturally brown hair but currently dyes it blonde and has navy blue eyes. She is from the United States and is the Number 1 ranked U.S. Pro-Hero. She has unmade parents and a younger sister.
She made her debut in the manga as a silhouette in Chapter 303, and officially debuted in Chapter 328. In the anime she appeared in a cameo as a child in Episode 58 and in the movie Two Heroes (in flashbacks).
Star and Stripe’s hero name is based upon a nickname for the U.S.A. flag, which her hero costume is designed after.
Star and Stripe has given special authority to allow her to call upon a series of state-of-the-art hypersonic intercontinental cruise missiles from the U.S. military called Tiamat. Tiamat is the name of the Babylonian goddess of the primordial sea and chaos.
Star and Stripe is called “the strongest woman around” by All for One. All for One has said that she easily notices cheap tricks and petty tactics. Her power is also shown to compete against Shigaraki while he used at 98% full power of All For One. She is shown to have superhuman physical prowess, including speed, strength, balance, endurance, agility, reflexes and more. Although her abilities are not at All Might’s level, they are still considered to be incredibly impressive.
Nejire debuted at age 17 and is currently 18. She is 164cm tall, her blood type is B, she was born in the Akita Prefecture, and her favourite things are lilies and jasmine tea.
Horikoshi has said that he has trouble drawing Nejire’s long hair.
Nejire’s surname contains the kanji for ‘wavelength’ (波 ha) and ‘motion, change, confusion’ (動 dō). Put together, her surname spells the Japanese word for ‘wave’ in physics terminology. The hiragana contained in her given name means ‘distortion, twist, warp’ (ねじれ nejire). If you put all the characters in her name together, it means ‘wave twist.’
Her stats according to the Ultra Analysis Book are: Power 5/6 (A) Speed 4/6 (B) Technique 5/6 (A) Intelligence 4/6 (B) Eccentricity 6/6 (S)
In the popularity polls Nejire placed as following: Ranked 64th in the 4th Popularity Poll Ranked 38th in the 5th Popularity Poll Ranked 23rd in the 6th Popularity Poll
Toga likes blood and pomegranates, she is 157cm tall, and debuted at age 16 and is now 17. She is also currently the youngest member of the League of Villains and the only female member after Magne’s death. She is also the only female lieutenant in the PLF.
Toga was the first character in the series to have their name revealed in katakana instead of kanji. It’s believed this was done to avoid hinting at her Quirk. Toga’s surname contains the kanji for ‘migrate’ (渡 to) and ‘self’ (我 ga), and her first name contains ‘wear, put on,’ (被 hi) ‘somebody,’ (身 mi) and ‘child’ (子 ko, this is also a feminine name suffix).
Toga’s concept art had her archetypal ‘yandere’ nature, but one of her concept designs had a different and plainer face with short pigtails and sharp teeth. According to Horikoshi, Toga is the hardest female character to illustrate with her eyes in particularly being difficult to draw.
Due to television regulations in Japan, Toga couldn’t be shown naked in the original broadcast of the series when she was supposed to be. Instead, the footage had to be altered to look like she was wearing a light skin toned body suit. The footage was changed back though in the home releases.
Toga’s stats according to the Ultra Archive are: Power 1/5 (E) Speed 4/5 (B) Technique 3/5 (C) Intelligence 3/5 (C) Cooperativeness 1/5 (E) Toga’s stars according to the Ultra Analysis are: Power 1/6 (E) Speed 4/6 (B) Technique 5/6 (A) Intelligence 5/6 (A) Unruly Hair 5/6 (A)
Amajiki was 17 when he debuted and is now 18. His birthday is March 4, he’s 177cm tall, and his blood type is AB. His favourite things are butterflies
All of Amajiki’s super moves are named after mythical creatures. ‘Chimera’ is a creature made from the parts of different animals put together. ‘Kraken’ is a gigantic octopus-like sea monster. And ‘Centaur’ is a human with a body of a horse instead of legs.
Horikoshi has said that Amajiki’s anxiety was inspired by his own experiences when he attended the Jump Festa in 2017 and was faced with the massive crowd. Horikoshi also said that Amajiki’s experience transferring schools was based off his own experiences of moving and attending a new middle school. Horikoshi said he even had someone approach him and ask to be friends like what Mirio did with Amajiki.
Amajiki’s surname contains the kanji for ‘heaven’ (天 ama) and ‘eating’ (喰 jiki), and his first name contains “ring, link” (環 tamaki).
Amajiki’s stats according to the Ultra Analysis Book are: Power 5/6 (A) Speed 4/6 (B) Technique 6/6 (S) Intelligence 5/6 (A) Communication 1/6 (E)
It’s strange to me when people complain about seeing ships they don’t like on their timeline or headcanons they don’t like. Just mute or block the account? There’s no hard feelings – if anything they’d rather prefer you to not interact with their content if you’re going to bring negativity to them. Artists and writers work hard on what they do and don’t deserve to have negative comments or threats sent to them. Muting and blocking takes two seconds and is super easy to do! I think it’s a great idea!
Endeavour stars off the series as 45 years old, his birthday is August 8th, he’s 195cm tall, his weight is 118kg, his blood type is AB, his favourite food is kuzumochi, and he was born near the Shizouka Prefecture.
While his blood type is AB, Shoto has the blood type O. For this to be realistically possible, Endeavour would have to have a rare genetic mutation known as Cis AB. Having this mutation is the only genetically possible way for a person with an AB blood type to have a child with an O blood type.
Endeavour’s surname contains the kanji for ‘roar’ (轟 todoroki) while his first name contains the kanji for (炎 en), and ‘boss’ (司 ji). Enji is a common component of male names. When written in the Latin alphabet, Endeavour’s name is also the same name as a fire god in Albanian mythology who was worshipped by the Illyrians. Endeavour’s hero name also means ‘attempting to achieve a goal,’ which is very fitting for him.
In Endeavour’s original concept, he was an instruction at U.A. Horikoshi got rid of this idea though because having both the 1st and 2nd highest ranking hero’s in Japan as teachers at U.A. would favour Class 1-A too much – since most conflicts the school would face would then be too easy to deal with.
According to the Ultra Archive, Endeavour’s stats are: Power 5/5 (A) Speed 5/5 (A) Technique 5/5 (A) Intelligence 4/5 (B) Cooperativeness 2/5 (D) While his stats according to the Ultra Analysis are: Power 6/6 (S) Speed 5/6 (A) Technique 5/6 (A) Intelligence 4/6 (B) Doting Father 6/6 (S)
Mirio’s birthday is July 15th, he’s 181cm tall, his blood type is O, he was born in Chiba Prefecture, his favourite food is ramen and his favourite thing is comedy.
Horikoshi has said he considers Mirio an easy character to draw because of his simple facial features.
Mirio shares his birthday with Midoriya and also Rapt Tokage (a character featuring in MHA Vigilantes.
As a child, Mirio is voiced my Megan Shipman in the English dub – who also voices La Brava.
Mirio’s name contains the kanji for ‘through’ (通 tō) and ‘form’ (形 gata). The kanji read together can also mean ‘conformity’ (通形 tsūgyō). His first name comes from ‘million’ (ミリオン mirion). Alternatively, the ‘to’ is a possible reading of ‘ten’ (十) which can refer to the fact that he would have been the 10th User of All for All if All Might passed it onto him instead of Midoriya like Sir Nighteye wanted.
Ryuko’s birthday is September 22, she is aged 26, she’s 166cm tall, her blood type is A, and she was born in Okinawa. Ryuko is also said to love shiny things (most likely a reference to the tales of dragons having hordes of gold and gems).
Ryuko’s name contains the kyujitai and shinjitai versions of the same character, meaning ‘dragon’ 竜 (tatsu) and 龍 (ryū). The ‘kyu’ in her Hero name also sounds like the Japanese word for the number nine, which was her former rank.
Ryuko is currently the second-highest ranking female Pro Hero in Japan (she was ranked 9 but then dropped to 10, and is second to Mirko who is ranked 6 and therefore the highest ranking female Pro Hero in Japan).
Ryuko’s English voice actor, Katelyn Barr, also voiced Mika Jiro and Cow Lady.
Ryuko’s stats according ot the Ultra Analysis Book are: Power 5/6 (A) Speed 4/6 (B) Technique 4/6 (B) Intelligence 5/6 (A) Care-taking 5/6 (A)
In flashbacks Overhaul as a child is voiced by Caitlin Glass in the dub, who also voices Mina Ashido.
Overhaul was only labelled as a B-rank Villain.
Overhaul’s surname contains the symbols for ‘govern, regulate, administer’ (治 chi), ‘promontory, cape, spit’ (崎saki). His first name contains the symbols for ‘revolve, return, curving’ (廻kai).
Overhaul is only one out of two villains named after their Quirk – the other being All for One.
Although Overhaul has been shown to have many symptoms of different mental illnesses and in the anime is shown to break out in hives whenever his mysophobia is triggered, he has never been canonically diagnosed within the series.
Twice’s birthday is May 10, he is 178cm, and smokes cigarettes.
Twice’s preliminary design was very similar to his current – the main difference being that his costume has four eye openings instead of two.
Twice is currently the villain who had the quickest raise in villain ranking – moving from C to S in just a few months. He is only the only lieutenant of the PLF to be an S-ranked villain.
Twice’s surname is pronounced and written the same as a train station in Tokyo (it is jointly run by two separate railroad stations). The kanji used in his first name ‘仁’ is also similar to the kanji for the number two ‘二.’
According to his Volume 24 profile, Twice’s costume was specially ordered by Giran. It was designed to be ‘tough yet easy on the skin.’ Since Twice is unable to hold together a normal life and income, and lost all the money he stole, the costume cost more than anything he could afford himself. Giran ended up putting the costume on his tab, but still demanded his intermediary fee as a broker.
