- It’s thought that Kendo’s quirk could be inspired by the Marvel hero Kamala Khan. Kamala is able to have full malleable control of her body but like Kendo’s quirk, Kamala prefers to increase the size of her fist for combat. However because Kamala’s first appearance in Marvel Comics was in the mid-2014s while Kendo’s first appearance in the manga was in January 2015 – it’s thought her quirk might have instead been inspired by Mr Fantastic.
