- The Blue Exorcist mangaka, Kazue Kato, has said before that originally the twins’ names were switched around – meaning that Rin was going to be called Yukio
- Rin is 173cm tall and weighs 62kg
- In his original design, Rin had a tattoo that looked like a burnt-like scar on his face. He was also going to have red flames instead of blue
- He can see through any lie, no matter how big or small. This is a trait that’s unique to his character in the series
